Plain Speak is built with privacy as a core principle. We collect only what's necessary to provide our service, and we give you full control over your data.

What We Collect

• Email address for account creation and authentication
• Contract documents you upload for analysis
• Analysis results and reports we generate
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)
• Basic usage analytics to improve our service

How We Use Your Data

We use your contract documents solely to generate analysis reports. When PII masking is enabled, we automatically remove personally identifiable information before sending to our AI providers. We never use your contracts to train AI models or share them with third parties.

Data Retention

By default, we automatically delete your documents and analyses after 24 hours. Pro users can choose to retain documents for comparison and reference. You can permanently delete all your data at any time from your account settings.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe for payment processing
• OpenAI or Anthropic for AI analysis (with PII masking when enabled)
• Supabase for secure file storage
• Vercel for hosting and analytics

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data we have about you
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your analysis reports
• Opt out of analytics
